Before you begin you should have

  • A website on the SF State Drupal platform

  • Content developed on the site

How to Fix Broken Links in Content

  1. Log in to the Drupal website on the SF State platform

  2. From the Administration menu located at the top of the page, selectReports and then choose Broken links

  3. Select Edit node… in the Operations column for the associated broken link that you would like to fix

  4. In the Body section double-click the broken link

  5. In the Link window in the Link Info section please enter the correct information for your link. Please view the table below for a description about the different Link Type options

    • Drupal: This option allows you to search the internal pages on the site. In the Link field, begin typing keywords of the page that you would like to link to and a drop-down menu will appear with options to choose from.

    • URL: The web address for the link

    • Link to anchor in the text: A link that points to a specific area in your content

    • E-mail: An e-mail address

  6. Select the OK button

  7. Select the Save button located at the bottom of the page

The link should now be fixed and no longer displayed on the Broken links page.
